How do I write an annotation?
Most annotations do three things in a short paragraph: summarise the source's main argument and method, evaluate its credibility and limitations, and explain why it matters for your topic. Your tutor may ask for summaries only or set a word count per entry, so check the brief first.
Annotations you submit should be in your own words, as our responsible use policy explains. The model shows you the pattern to follow.
